Because of his energetic nature, Burt’s mother nicknamed him “Sparky”.

Burt won athlete of the year in his elementary school-(he did the 50 yard dash in 6 seconds flat).

At the age of 8, 9 and 10 he pitched 5 no-hitter games and two perfect games in the municipal league.

While attending UCSB, he worked as a DJ for the college radio station, KCSB.

Burt Ward was a real estate broker prior to starring as Robin. He sold 2 houses.

In college Burt finished in the top 3 percent in the country in math and science aptitude test.

At the age of 19 he got the Role of “Robin The Boy Wonder” in “Batman” and was playing the age of a 15 year old.

In his Batman audition Burt severed an inch-thick plank and broke a brick in two.

Was paid in (1966) $350/week (during the first season of Batman).

Quote from Burt Ward-"On shooting "Batman" (1966/II): "I was new. This was my first job. One of the scenes was in the same show, where The Riddler shoots me with a dart in the arm, and I fall down, and he presses a button in the Batmobile, and all these fireworks go off. They said it was a one take thing and nobody could move. Well, here I didn't move, and the ashes burned through my cape, and I had third degree burns and scars on my arm because I didn't want to make any noise and ruin the shot."

Burt Ward used a total of 352 “holy words” throughout the entire 120 episodes of Batman.

Fox Studio took out a 3 million dollar insurance policy on Burt when he started riding his motorcycle to work in the rain.

Bruce Lee was a neighbor and close friend.

Burt recorded a record with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. (Orange Colored Sky & Boy Wonder I Love You).

"Boy Wonder, I Love You" was released regionally in the Midwest. It soared to number six on the Chicago charts in less than a week.

Has a Black Belt in Karate.

The Ward’s Gentle Giants Rescue has been featured on such TV shows as Animal Planet’s Adoption Tales and Pet Story.

One of his great danes, Apollo, is the average height of an NBA player, standing 6’6” tall and weighing 200 pounds.

He has always wanted to own a giraffe.

Wrote a tell-all-book, Boy Wonder-My Life in Tights.

Played himself in the made-for-TV movie Return to the Batcave.
